Kyle Boyd: "I'm the tool"
A while back, yours truly had a speaking appearance in Rock Hill, talking about the impact of blogs and other forms of "new media" on state politics. One interesting moment was when Kyle Boyd, who'd challenged incumbent York County Rep. Carl Gullick in the June GOP primary, came up and introduced himself as "I'm the tool".
After what Ross Shealy found out about all his attempt to hide his bundled out-of-state campaign cash from the Howard Rich crowd, Boyd's self-applied label seems to fit really well:

When campaign finance disclosures were due on July 10th, Gervais waited patiently to find out how much money SCRG voucher/tax credit candidate Kyle Boyd got from NYC millionaire Howard Rich and his associates, in his recent loss to GOP Rep. Carl Gullick of York.
Boyd waited until nine days after the deadline to disclose that he had neither received nor spent any money in the final two weeks of his race.
Nada. Zilch. Zero. No Howard Rich money. Swear to Gosh ...
... Yesterday, Boyd finally came clean with the out-of state cash that made up 55% of his campaign funding for the election.
The guy may not have voted very often before he decided to become a candidate, and may have allowed others to wage a sleazy and misleading campaign on his behalf, but we'll give him credit for being honest about who and what he is.
Hopefully, if he continues his political involvement, he'll find himself a pair and be his own person.

What do we need to do to get Rep. Harold Mitchell (D-Spartanburg) to even file a 07/10 disclosure report?
It is now well over one month past due and the Spartanburg Herald-Journal will NOT publish a news story!!!!!! Why????

Kyle Boyd sounds like a real (W)ussy to me.

If the sun don't come, you get a tan
From standing in the english rain.
I am the eggman, they are the eggmen.
I am the walrus, goo goo g'joob g'goo goo g'joob.
Hey Earl, I know the point you're trying to make, and it aint trying to make Boyd into a cat either.
Stop spreading such falsehoods!!!!!!!!
With a sparse voting record and no prior history of involvement in the GOP, Mr. Boyd is the biggest falsehood and a tool for Howard Rich and others.
Mr. Boyd should have respect for his political "elders", such as Gullick who pioneered the York GOP and learn the ropes and pay his dues like the rest of us politicos have had to.
Having the immaturity to think one can wear a crown just because they are able to snatch it into their hands says a lot about Mr. Boyd. Earl, you may have been a little overboard on him but you have the right point my friend.
What kind of tool is he?
Kyle Boyd:
A nice guy who should have actually been involved in things before trying to run for office, and perhaps answered questions with something other than the standard, "Oh, that's a good question...sounds important...I'll have to look into that...".
Brainiac.
Go figure he owns a school. :)
Wouldn't that have made it a conflict of interest to vote on vouchers anyway?
