Rep. Harvin meeting with Republicans?

While the Blogland has no reason to believe that Clarendon County Democratic Represenative Cathy Harvin is planning to switch parties, this picture, which was taken at the recent Striped Bass Festival in Manning, clearly shows her meeting with some of the GOP big dogs in the region: Clarendon County GOP Chair Moye Graham, Sixth Congressional District GOP Chair Tommy Grimes, and June Brailsford, Treasurer of the Clarendon GOP.

This group's associations with the Blogland have been the subject of some discussion. Reportedly, Brailsford is a well-known BBQ kingpin in the region. Reportedly Brailsford and her family are responsible for supplying the BBQ addiction of the Blogland, while Graham - a delegate to the recent Republican National Convention - has reportedly bought several beers for Blogland staff. Sources have also alleged that the publisher of the Blogland, along with Graham and Grimes, are three of the Four Horsemen of the Political Apocalypse.

Being seen in the company of these GOP politicos certainly opens the door to speculation about what Harvin may have been discussing at the time this photo was taken. As always, we simply present what we know, and allow our readers to reach their own conclusions.

Actually, this was taken at the Clarendon County GOP Booth behind the courthouse. We enjoy manning the booth and, as you can see, we never know who will stop by. We had a very interesting conversation with Mrs. Harvin.
Thanks for the coverage Earl. The next beer is on me.

June - I'll let Moye take care of the beer. You can just take care of hooking me up with the 'cue.

I forgot Mike took this. I hope the Four Horseman can meet again soon. The Striped Bass Festival was really good this year. You have got to come next year. Mrs. Harvin was very nice to us and we all are glad she came by to speak and spend time. A lot of people in her position probably would not have. Also like Mike whatever she said will be taken to my grave. Now June I hope is offering to buy us all a beer. We will have to slide over to her shore soon.

Good morning all--once again let me say it was great being in the Striped Bass Parade again. Earl, if you can get to the parade next year the first plate of BBQ and the beer is on me. The SC GOP Executive meeting is on Sat. and I hope to see you all there so the 4 Horsemen can start to take over the state party. I do have one question though--the orginal 4 Horsemen were Ric Flair,Arn Anderson,Tully Blanchard and Ole Anderson; so who's who in our Horsemen? Tom Grimes SC6 District Chair.

Heard the Grits and Shrimp was good at the Striped Bass. Some ladies from up Orangeburg way was cooking them. Bill Bowers said he was going to move to wherever they were from where he could have them everyday.
