State of the State tonight
It's that time of the year again - when Mark Sanford goes into his office, drops some LSD, and emerges to give us ... the annual State of the State address.We're not sure what we're going to hear, but we suspect it will be of little use and no relevance whatsoever. It's too late for him to turn this sad state of affairs around.
We'd love to hear some real apologies to the people of the state for making them international laughingstocks, as well as to those in state government who were at the receiving end of the many personal attacks and misrepresentations launched by his willing stooges over the last seven years. Then we'd like for him to quit, turn himself into the cops for abusing state government resources, move to Argentina, or allow the mother ship to take him back to the home planet. Whichever works for him is fine with us.
But in his mind, he's done nothing wrong, so we won't get so lucky tonight.

I was hoping the Governor would explain all sorts of serious things, like how SCDSS was so poorly run that the feds have fined it upwards of $100mil and they had that big embezzlement scandal, among other things, but that's way way too much to ask with the man.
