The "mosque of conquest"
William Federer, the author of "What Every American Needs to Know About the Qur'an", considers the New York mosque issue, weighing the desires of those who seek tolerance against the long record of Islamic intolerance for other faiths:
Muslim groups are proposing a 13-story $100 million mosque in the most prominent spot in America – the heart of downtown New York City near the World Trade Center site.
Is this mosque a sign of America's tolerance, or is it a sign of Muslim conquest?
The past may hold answers.

I suspect that J. K. Rowling borrowed thier ideas of ownership for those of Goblins in the Harry Potter series.
