Dueling protests planned for Thursday at Tim Scott's office
This Thursday, union protesters from AFGE (American Federation of Government Employees) are planning to demonstrate outside of Rep. Tim Scott's office in West Ashley.
Local Republicans and conservative activists are planning to convene a rally at the same location to show their support for Tim Scott. If you're interested in bringing the noise, here's where and when to go:
Thursday, June 30 - 11:30 AM – 2:30 PM
2000 Sam Rittenberg Blvd, Charleston SC
The Blogland will be there to report on the competing events.
AFGE National President John Gage, AFGE National Vice President Everett Kelly will be in attendance, so this is clearly a special occasion we're hoping our readers don't miss.
Here are two links to info on the planned union protest against Rep. Scott

How many are actaully out on paid leave, probably designated admin leave for union business, to take a whiz on the taxpayers. AFGE, from my own experience, is a bunch of hypocrites on this issue, willingly throwing a few people under the bus from their bargaing units. AFGE, from my own observation, certainly was willing to let the metal trades council at the shipyard get hosed.
OTOH, as quid pro quo for airing NLRB's dirty laundry, Thursday's protest has pretty clear collateral causality.
